Japan Revisited: Tokyo Streets Triptych

‘Tokyo Streets Triptych’ is the first in a serie of photographs from the collection ‘Japan Revisited’, a set of my favourite works during my visit to Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, Japan. It’s been three years ago since I visited this country. Japan has been high on my list of ‘must-visits’ for a long time and I was excited we finally had our chance in 2011. We flew from Hong Kong, directly to the capital Japan for a 12-day stay in the country.

The streets in ‘Tokyo Streets Triptych’ are not related at all, other than all three being photographed in downtown Tokyo. I’ve put them together because they work so well as a triptych.

I remember walking around in downtown Tokyo. We didn’t had much of an aim, just discovering things and trying to get a taste of the city. We came back to the hotel late in the evening and our feet hurt so much, we already needed a break! Getting the chance to see Tokyo, a city I’ve been wanting to visit for years, definitely was worth the pain.

In the next few days, I’ll be posting my favourite shots of my stay in Japan, so stay tuned!
