The Fallen published on Online Galerij

This week I’ve been featured on Online Galerij, which is blog that posts eye-catching works in field of art and culture. Their posts are very diverse, ranging from photography to art, from exhibitions to fashion. So it’s definitely worth checking them out at www.onlinegalerij.nl.

They have picked up the photo serie ‘The Fallen’ which I photographed in 2013. This photo serie was inspired by the musical piece ‘Mazeppa’ by composer Franz Liszt, which I associated with themes like ‘war’, ‘tension’ and ‘victims’. To visualise these themes, I photographed animal remains on or near the roads in a crime scene-like visual style. This serie is perhaps my best work of 2013, so I’m happy to see it being recognised.
